Please read carefully the course descriptions below.
Ask your present teacher which one describes your present Math Course of study. Then proceed to enter the number in the field below.
You will be placed in:

  1. a) Common Core Algebra 1: If you are presently studying a Regular 8th grade Math Common Core.
    b) *Common Core Algebra 1 Honors: If you are presently studying a Regular 8th grade Math Curriculum and your grades are excellent. *You must have your present math teacher fill out and return the "Algebra Honors" form that you received in the mailing from St. Francis Preparatory.

  2. **Common Core Geometry: If you are presently studying Common Core Algebra in Eighth Grade with the intention of taking the New York State Regents in June 2017. ****You must bring your report card to St. Francis Preparatory in June. The report card must contain your Algebra 1 regents grade. ****You may bring the report card to St. Francis on June 28th or 29th from 9am-12noon. Unless you bring the report card you will not be placed in Geometry.

  3. Common Core Algebra 2: If you are presently studying Common Core Geometry in Eighth grade with the intention of taking the New York State Regents in June 2017. You must bring your report card to St. Francis Preparatory in June. The report card must contain your Geometry regents grade. You may bring the report card to St. Francis on June 28th or 29th from 9am-12noon. Unless you bring the report card you will not be placed in Common Core Algebra 2.

  4. In order for  any student to be advanced to Common Core Geometry as a 9th grader ,here at the Prep, must take the Algebra Assessment test on Saturday June 3rd, 2017 at 8:30a.m. here at the Prep. This  assessment in conju nction with your Algebra Regents grade will decide whether you can advance to Common Core Geometry as a 9th grader.
