Franciscan Immersion Experience Info and Applications

FIE: Long Island - Franciscan Volunteer Program ~ February 18-23, 2018 

This experience is for SENIORS `18 and JUNIORS `19. 

Over Mid-Winter Break, students from SFP, St. Anthony’s HS (Huntington, NY) and Notre Dame HS (Cape Girardeau, MO) will come together for a week of service at  various Long Island community agencies. While we serve, particular attention will be paid to learning more about Franciscan spirituality and servant leadership. 10 roster spots are available. Approximate Cost is $50. Franciscan Brothers of Brooklyn will sponsor the week.

FIE: Camden, NJ~ APRIL 18-22, 2018


This experience is for SENIORS `18 and JUNIORS `19.

Camden is considered one of the most economically poor cities in the U.S. and it is only 2 hours from NYC. Students will work with the people of Camden in soup kitchens, food banks, elder-care facilities, and various other social service agencies. Students stay at the Romero Center in East Camden. This year marks SFP’s 17th year of partnership with the Romero Center. 10 roster spots available. The approximate cost of this trip is $385.00*.

FIE: Lima, Peru - Hogar San Francisco de Asis ~ July 12-21, 2018


This experience is for JUNIORS `19 and SOPHOMORES '20


This July students and chaperones from SFP will return to Lima, Peru to live and serve amongst the patients at Hogar de San Francisco de Asis. The Hogar is a hospital and home for Peruvian children with serious medical conditions who cannot pay for care. Students will travel to Chaclacayo, stay in a bed and breakfast near to the Hogar and spend their time serving the children there. There are 12 spots available. The approximate cost of this trip is $1,600.00*.
